No, VARTA hasn’t run their in-person event since 2019, 5 years ago. We have taken inspiration from their event and recreated a seminar with new format, program and updated content focusing specifically.on the How.

DCP Hub is a small business run by two SMCs. We recognised that there was still a gap in the resources and support available that was DCP-centric, so we wanted to do something about it. To make this educational resource stable and available long term, and to bring in the experts, we need to charge for our events. So no, we are not a charity.

Every DCP has their own personal story to tell which is unique to them. We don’t speak for Recipient Parents either, even though that’s our ‘category’ within the Donor Conception Community. Every single person has their own perspective shaped by their own experience.

We are here to listen and learn, and help share stories when others want us to. DCPs shouldn't have to carry the full load of educating society about donor conception and the impact it has on the person created.

While the intended audience for some of our events is Recipient Parents, the events’ focus is DCPs. We want those parenting young DCPs to have the information and knowledge they need to avoid the mistakes made that have so hurt previous generations of DCPs.
We plan to have events in the future for attendance by DCPs.
